JASON GODWIN - HEAD VARSITY COACH
Coach Godwin is a graduate of Worthington Kilbourne (1996). His lacrosse career includes playing at the college D-III level for the College of Wooster (2000) where he earned 2 All Conference honors as a defenseman. He has been coaching at Hilliard Davidson since 2008, and he is also a teacher in the Hilliard City School district at Beacon Elementary School. Coach Godwin has received several coaching accolades including 2009 OHSLA Lacrosse Coach of the Year, 2009 & 2010 US Lacrosse--Ohio Chapter Coach of the Year, and 2010 OCC Buckeye Coach of the Year. During the off-season he will be coaching with Titanium Lacrosse, as well as staying busy with his two active boys, Luke and Ben, and his wife Amy.

DAVE OTIS - ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH
Dave Otis is has been coaching at Hilliard Davidson since 2005 as the Assistant Varsity Coach with the primary responsibility as the Defensive Coordinator. Before his coaching days, Coach Otis played lacrosse at West Genesee High School in Camillus, NY. He then went on to The Ohio State University where he was a 4 year letter winner and served as team captain, along with earning all-league honors as defensemen his senior year. Away from lacrosse Coach Otis spends his free time trying to lead an active life with his wife Sandy, son Finnegan and dog Addy. Coach Otis also coaches with Resolute Lacrosse during the off-season. |

BRIAN YORK - HEAD JUNIOR VARSITY COACH
Brian attended Dublin High School for 3 years, and then he went to Dublin Scioto and was a member of it's first Senior class. While at Scioto he was a member of the lacrosse and football teams. Brian attended college at The Ohio State University and while there began his LAX coaching carrer. His coaching experience includes 3 years at Davis Middle School, 2 years at Westerville South, and most recently as a volunteer at Dublin Jerome. Brian is currently engaged to his fiancee Sara.

ANDY SHAFFER - ASSISTANT JUNIOR VARSITY COACH
Andy began playing lacrosse in middle school at Hastings in UA. In High School he earned a starting Varsity Midfielder position for 3 years and also captained UA Golf team. Following high school, Andy attended Elon University in North Carolina where he as a four-year starter for their lacrosse team. Post-college, Andy returned to Columbus and moved from player to coach: first as JV Coach @ UA under then-Coach Bill Wolford for 2 seasons, then later as Asst Coach at Weaver Middle School for 2 years, and most recently as a Head Coach for HYLA in 2011. In his spare time, Andy is currently
an owner and VP of the family business Shaffer Services Inc. He has 2 sons: Drew--a sophomore on Davidson lacrosse team-- and David.

SEAN McHENRY - ATHLETIC TRAINER
Sean McHenry is entering his 3rd year as an Ohiohealth employee working both at Hilliard Davidson High School and Ohiohealth Neighborhood Care Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in Hilliard. Sean received a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from The Ohio State University where he worked with several different sports including the 2002 National Championship Football Team. He then completed a graduate assistanship at Louisiana Tech University and earned a Master's Degree in Health and Exercise Science. Sean played baseball and football in high school and enjoys having a job that enables him to keep athletes healthy so they can return to the sports they love to play. He spends his spare time with family and friends including his wife, Christina. |
